As 2019 takes off with a bang, we are always reminded of how grateful we are to be here serving you. Bringing meaningful literacy to children is our passion and we are so thankful for the amazing opportunities last year brought to connect, explore, and engage with our readers. Here is a quick look back on all of the things we are grateful for in 2018.
We were thrilled to meet so many young readers this year. Below is author Lisa Mulka reading The Business of Beans to kindergarteners and first graders at Enid Capron Primary School in Turks and Caicos. Thank you for listening with open hearts and minds!
Our mission is to bring the highest-quality children’s books and curriculum to you. As such, we aim to explore far corners of the world looking for the best ideas, resources, and inspirations to share. This year we had the privilege of visiting Iceland where we trekked through rugged wilderness, met the kindest of strangers, and witnessed nature’s beauty as the northern lights wisped across a star-filled sky. Stay tuned for new resources capturing all that we learned!
Exciting New Work
In addition to the Iceland-inspired resources we are building, we are also in the process of developing two new children’s books, one of which focuses on a mission very close to our hearts. If you haven’t heard about The Global Goals for Sustainable Development, an initiative set by the United Nations, come read more here. We hope to release a children’s book this year highlighting each of the 17 goals as a primer for young people to recognize the importance of creating sustainable development in all aspects of life.
Thank you for your continued support. We are thankful to have you as part of our community and we are eager to bring you more exciting content in 2019!
